Swan Valley : The Whiteman Park
July 17, 2008
After the honey tasting, we drove on to The Whiteman Park.
The Whiteman Park is a high value conservation bushland/wetland in South West Australia. It covers an area of more than 4200 hectares. Apart from the picturesque bushland, there are attractions such as The Motor Museum, The Tractor Museum and The Bus Preservation Society Musuem and others. According to the travel brochures, Whiteman Park is a good place for picnics and letting the kids loose.
Anyway, we did not do any of the above. We were just happy driving around the park and the highlight must be the sighting of a group of wild kangaroos. This was our first encounter with animals in this trip to South West Australia and obviously we were damn excited!
Here is a picture of a couple of “animals” we spotted roaming around the The Whitman Park’s bushland. Could you spot the kangaroo and the rabbit?
