Swan Valley - The Margaret River Chocolate Factory

In the afternoon, the sky cleared up enough for us to visit the well known The Margaret River Chocolate Factory in Swan Valley. Swan Valley is about 25 mins drive from Perth City, South West Australia. It is quite easy to get there and you know you are in Swan Valley when you see vineyards appearing on the left and right of you as you drive along.

At The Margaret River Chocolate Factory, I was expecting to see a demo on how chocolate is made - so was a bit disappointed that it was really just a retail shop selling chocolates. If you are a chocolate freak, this is the place for you.

Nope, it wasn’t a dream. I did see rows and rows of yummy looking chocolate through my bleary, sleep deprived eyes.

Swan Valley is about 25 min drive along Great Eastern Highway, north east from Perth City. Swan Valley is a bustling tourist area in South West Australia, well known for the numerous wineries, some of which are among the oldest in Western Australia. Swan Valley picturesque landscape and cool climate makes it a great relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
