Swan Valley - Honey Tasting
July 16, 2008
At the carpark of the The Margaret River Chocolate Factory , we saw a sign that said ” Free Honey Tasting. 200 meters ahead”.
Oh great, an educational visit on the way!
Time to visit the bees farms, see bee hives, learn how honey are extracted and taste some freshly extracted honey. That was what we thought.
What a disappointment.
The “Farm” was actually a small adjacent room next to a residential unit. The owner has set up the room as a retail store to sell a variety of honey. I forget the brand of the honey but I do believe I saw the brand at the supermarkets during the trip.
It was a letdown. Probaly a mismatched of expectation. But the three boys did have some honey tasting and I think Kai had a good time chatting to the owner about bees and hives!
